Regulations

At Resistencias Industriales Maxiwatt S.L. we apply the following European Directives in our cartridge heater design and production system:

Quality management system:

  • UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015, Quality management systems.

Electrical safety:

  • Directive 2014/35/EU on the making available on the market of electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits, and its transposition into Spanish law by Royal Decree 187/2016 of 6 May.

Substances and materials:

  • Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as amended by Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863, and its transposition by Royal Decree 219/2013 of 22 March.
  • Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) concerning the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemical substances and mixtures.

General framework for placing products on the market:

  • Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 setting out the requirements for accreditation and the general principles of CE marking.
  • Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products. As a manufacturer established in the European Union, Resistencias Industriales Maxiwatt S.L. acts as the responsible economic operator for the purposes of this Regulation.

General product safety:

  • Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety, applicable to the products we make available to end users through our direct sales channels.

Waste and packaging:

  • Directive 2012/19/EU and Royal Decree 110/2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Registration number in the Integrated Industrial Register (Registro Integrado Industrial): 10249.
  • Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste, and Royal Decree 1055/2022 of 27 December on packaging and packaging waste.

About the Machinery Directive:

  • Our cartridge heaters are components intended to be incorporated into equipment, machinery and installations. They are neither machinery nor partly completed machinery and are therefore not subject to Directive 2006/42/EC or Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, applicable from 20 January 2027. We provide our customers with the technical information needed for their safe integration and for their own conformity assessment.

  • On request, we provide the following for each part number supplied: EU declaration of conformity or manufacturer's declaration, as applicable, technical data sheet, RoHS compliance declaration and REACH information. Request it at sales@resistencias.com.

Additionally, upon customer request, we also apply UL and CSA regulations for the US and Canadian markets.
